Westernisation of Indian foods and its effect on our health.
We want to wear Western clothes
(To look Sexy or Handsome)
We want to study & work Abroad
(for a higher lifestyle )
We want to buy foreign branded car
( for better Quality & status )
All is fine.
But a Problem arises when you start eating like the West. Your gut biome and genes are from India, specifically the region your ancestor belongs to. But when you start eating Western food and oils because they are marketed as Healthy, it doesn't go well as it causes inflammation and often doesn't metabolise well.
Why Peanut Butter? Why not raw peanuts?
Why Quinoa & Oats? Why not millets?
What fat-free? Why not full fat?
Why green tea? Why not Adrak Chai
Why Brazil nuts? Why not cashews, walnuts, etc.
Why whole-grain bread? Why not Roti?

Why Refined? Why not cold-pressed oils?
Why is Vicco priced at 70 inr? Why does Sensodyne cost 280 Inr
Staying fit and leading a healthy life is a right for each one of us, rich or poor. Qualified Indian Nutritionists are studying Western diets and prescribing them to Indians. Why? There is no nutritional supremacy in Western food.
Why is junk food cheap? Why not impose a heavy tax on junk food to make it expensive for the masses, as Singapore does? Singapore is one of the Healthiest Countries in the world.
When I lost my mother, I just asked myself this question: how did she die? She was consuming so many medicines. What caused her to be dependent on so many drugs, I found out, was low Nutrition literacy and stress. This even made me question if my mother, being an MA Bed, Principle & I, a Double Master, didn't know a thing about Nutrition; how can a commoner know? Inspired by this, I am creating a Nutrition course that is easily understandable even by a 7-year-old.
